　　It is an important and regular understanding of the Communist Party of China (CPC)’s economic and social development in China since the new era that promoting Chinese modernization must be regarded as the greatest politics. The 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China scientifically mapped out the objectives, tasks and major policies for the development of the cause of the Party and the country in the coming period, and clearly pointed out that from now on, the central task of the Communist Party of China (CPC) is to unite and lead the people of all ethnic groups throughout the country to build a socialist modernization power in an all-round way, realize the goal of the second century, and comprehensively promote the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation with Chinese modernization. Under the strong leadership of the CPC Central Committee with the Supreme Leader as the core, hundreds of millions of Chinese sons and daughters have worked hard and courageously towards the goal of promoting Chinese modernization, rallying the majestic power of one mind, turning the grand blueprint of Chinese modernization into a beautiful reality step by step, and forging ahead towards the grand goal of building a strong country and national rejuvenation.

　　To take the new road of Chinese modernization well, we must adhere to the party’s basic theory, line and general plan. The 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China has established a theoretical system of Chinese modernization, and defined the essential requirements of Chinese modernization: adhering to the Communist Party of China (CPC)’s leadership, adhering to Socialism with Chinese characteristics, achieving high-quality development, developing people’s democracy in the whole process, enriching people’s spiritual world, achieving common prosperity for all people, promoting harmonious coexistence between man and nature, promoting the construction of a community of human destiny and creating a new form of human civilization. In the new era and new journey, promoting Chinese modernization has become the fundamental standard to test whether we adhere to the party’s basic theory, basic line and basic strategy. It should be noted that development is the top priority of the party in governing and rejuvenating the country. Economic construction is the central task of the party, and high-quality development is the primary task of building a socialist modern country in an all-round way. China’s economy has overcome challenges, made steady progress and achieved high-quality development, which is also an inevitable requirement for promoting Chinese modernization. Without a solid material and technical foundation, it is impossible to build a socialist modernization power in an all-round way; Without high-quality development, it is difficult to promote the qualitative improvement and quantitative growth of the economy.

　　Promoting Chinese modernization is the fundamental way to solve the main contradictions in our society. Socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a new era, and the main social contradiction has been transformed into the contradiction between the people’s growing need for a better life and the unbalanced development. The China characteristics, essential requirements and major principles of Chinese modernization inherently contain all the forces to support and solve the main social contradictions in China. The overall strategic arrangement of "two steps" to build a socialist modernization power in an all-round way is to build China into a prosperous, strong, democratic, civilized, harmonious and beautiful socialist modernization power on the basis of solving the main contradictions in our society, and strive to realize the beautiful vision of national prosperity, national rejuvenation and people’s happiness. Practice has proved and will continue to prove that promoting Chinese-style modernization is a consistent and important position of our party and provides a fundamental path for solving the main contradictions in our society. In the process of solving the main social contradictions, our Party has promoted the material civilization, political civilization, spiritual civilization, social civilization and ecological civilization in the overall layout of Socialism with Chinese characteristics’s "Five in One", which has opened up a broad prospect of Chinese modernization, and promoted Chinese modernization to take on a new look and start a new journey with a more perfect system guarantee, a more solid material foundation and more active spiritual strength.

　　Promoting Chinese modernization is the only way to realize the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. The Communist Party of China (CPC)’s struggle history of more than one hundred years is not only a history in which the Party leads the people to pursue national rejuvenation, but also a history in which Chinese modernization is constantly explored and promoted, and the process of building a strong country and national rejuvenation is the logical development and inevitable result of China characteristics, essential requirements and major principles of Chinese modernization. On the basis of long-term exploration and practice since the founding of New China, especially since the reform and opening up, and through theoretical and practical breakthroughs since the 18th CPC National Congress, our Party has successfully promoted and expanded Chinese modernization. Practice has constantly proved that Chinese-style modernization is feasible and steady, and it is the only correct way to build a strong country and national rejuvenation. At present, we are closer, more confident and able to realize the goal of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation than at any time in history. We must unswervingly follow the only way of Chinese modernization, let the broad masses of people enjoy more achievements of Chinese modernization, and stride forward on the broad road of building a strong country and national rejuvenation with great vigor and vitality.

　　Promoting Chinese modernization is the fundamental driving force for building the modern civilization of the Chinese nation. Chinese-style modernization endows Chinese civilization with modern strength, and Chinese civilization endows Chinese-style modernization with profound foundation. General Secretary of the Supreme Leader pointed out that we adhered to and developed Socialism with Chinese characteristics, promoted the coordinated development of material civilization, political civilization, spiritual civilization, social civilization and ecological civilization, and created a new road of Chinese modernization and a new form of human civilization. In this sense, the process of promoting Chinese modernization is not only the construction of Chinese modern civilization itself, but also the basic practical support of Chinese modern civilization construction. When we think deeply about it, we can clearly understand that Chinese modernization not only firmly follows the theoretical logic of the development of Marxist human civilization, but also fully demonstrates the Communist Party of China (CPC)’s high cultural consciousness in the construction of modern Chinese civilization and responds to the needs of the times. Chinese modernization annotates the cultural essence and spiritual identity of Chinese civilization, and constructs the modern civilization of the Chinese nation in the profound historical depth and broad cultural space of Chinese civilization.

　　Until the banks at low tide widened, with no wind stirring my lone sail. Chinese-style modernization is the only correct way to build a strong country and national rejuvenation. We must be unfocused and concentrate on the road of Chinese modernization.
