At the symposium, everyone spoke enthusiastically, talking about their experiences and feelings. After the meeting, many teachers and students said that through the discussion and exchange, they had a deeper and more comprehensive understanding of the Supreme Leader’s Socialism with Chinese characteristics Thought in the new era.
Yuan Shaojun, a student of Tianjin Qingma Project, went to Tianjin grass-roots units to practice and exercise, and he realized the hardships of grass-roots work. "The work was visited from house to house, written in strokes and done one by one." Yuan Shaojun said, "My original understanding of Marxism remained in books. Through grassroots practice, I realized that I should be both a Marxist learner and a practitioner."
After the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, Tianjin University of Finance and Economics set off an upsurge of studying and implementing the spirit of the 19th National Congress. On October 25th, 2017, Tianjin University of Finance and Economics established the New Era Socialism with Chinese characteristics Thought Research Association, which became the first group of similar college students in China.
Sun Quansheng, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of Tianjin University of Finance and Economics, said that the seminar has always insisted on reading the original, learning the original and understanding the principles, keeping close to the pulse of the new era, combining with the current hot spots, and interpreting social problems from the perspective of college students, so as to truly understand Socialism with Chinese characteristics’s thoughts of the supreme leader in the new era.

The school has specially formulated and issued the "Standards for the Construction of Excellent Courses for the Reform of Curriculum Ideological and Political Education in Tianjin University of Finance and Economics" to promote the innovative reform of curriculum ideological and political education as a whole.
Zou Bingjian, a teacher in the Department of Civil and Commercial Law of Law School, is one of the practitioners of this system.
