Trump stressed that the United States "space forces will also be established soon." Trump signed an order to form a space force in February to "counter aggression and defend national interests in space."

In response, Russia responded that this is an excuse for the United States to develop space for military purposes and intend to realize the militarization of space. Russia will be forced to take symmetrical measures to respond to possible threats.
