According to the emergency disposal requirements of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, all cities and states in Hubei Province have built emergency storage warehouses for medical wastes, with an emergency storage capacity of 1,552.6 tons. Seventeen temporary storage warehouses for medical wastes have been built in Wuhan, with a total storage capacity of 1,118.6 tons. During the epidemic period, the amount of medical waste produced in Wuhan is several times higher than before, and a number of new technologies and products for disinfection have become the main force of medical waste treatment. The "Environmental Protection Medical Waste Incinerator" developed by Hubei Weitian Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. covers an area of less than 10 square meters. It can complete desulfurization and denitrification of flue gas while burning medical waste, and can handle 2 tons to 4 tons of medical waste every day.

On February 14th, huaxin cement (Yichang) Co., Ltd. successfully put the second cement kiln collaborative medical waste disposal system into trial operation. So far, the emergency collaborative disposal capacity of medical waste in huaxin cement has reached 10 tons/day. Together with the original medical waste disposal capacity of Sander Company and Qiduoyun Company of 21 tons/day, Yichang has formed a disposal capacity of 31 tons/day, and all medical wastes can be collected separately, transported safely and disposed harmlessly.
On February 26th, Yichang started the action of cleaning and rectifying rural domestic garbage.
